SARDENIAN NURAGHA
The towers rise suddenly from the ground and probably were used as

nuraghic structures still survive with a 22 meter one
towering over the rest. Visit Barumini and Santu Antoine or
Sardiniag to Macomer, Abbasanta, Isili, Alghero and Giave see the
most famous ones. The ancient civilizations have left some more
clues including a series of well temples. Speculate whether these
were dedicated to the water gods or merely serve us a collective
swimming pool for the town's people. There is also a more
utilitarian and sinister mass grave, which could have been used to

Take a bird's eye view of the entire old district of Cagliari, the

facade. The Umberto terrace encircles the ancient ramparts. Its
monumental stairs and panoramic views transport you into a

CAVE
Stretching for over 2500 meters, the gigantic cave has innumerable
rooms, wide galleries, shimmering pools and narrow tunnels and deep
wells. When the sea is not in spate, stare in wonder at its
geological magnificence. Was it the aspiration to connect with one
of the basic elements of the world that moved the builders? You
will never know for sure. Anyhow, the sights would move you the way

Alghero
Located at the northern end of the Valdichiana, the town can be
easily accessed Its a little Catalonia transplanted into Italy. Its
